Pride and Prejudice
Wit, family, and misjudged first impressions in Austen's most beloved romance.
Reading Pride and Prejudice in English
Best for: B1 (Intermediate), with read-along support
Austen's novel follows Elizabeth Bennet and her four sisters as their mother tries to marry them all off to wealthy men. The real pleasure is in the witty dialogue — characters say one thing and mean another, and misunderstandings drive the whole plot. At B1 you will follow the story comfortably; the longer narrative passages are the trickier parts, but the dialogue rewards careful reading.
